Institute for Politics and Society in cooperation with Prague Institute of Planning and Development invite you to a Discussion Future of Mobility with European Commissioners Věra Jourová and Violeta Bulc.

Commissioners Bulc and Jourová will introduce the possibilities of how mobility can develop and the vision of how Europe will face new challenges such as the rise of AI and transformation of the EU as well as the global economy. The conference will take place symbolically in Prague - the very centre of Europe to emphasize the role of not-so-new Member states (like the Czech Republic and Slovenia) and the whole CEE for the future of the common market. They will focus especially on the future of mobility as one of the main drivers of European prosperity and competitiveness.

Both the Czech Republic and the Slovakian economy largely depend on automotive – Czech government and PM recently unveiled push for smart, autonomous and electric mobility together with Škoda. The development of the automotive industry is fundamental for the development of the Central European region. The impacts of electromobility, intelligent mobility, car sharing and autonomous cars can, therefore, be crucial for the future of the EU.

How will the Czech Republic, neighbour countries and EU prepare for this challenge? And what should be done in order to take advantage of changes in transportation?
