The Institute for Politics and Society invites you to a public debate on the topic of “Will shared mobility become an inevitable part of our lives?“

A few years ago, the shared economy began to fully penetrate many of our lives. The goal of this phenomenon is to make more effective use of services which make the life of the customer easier. The shared economy has gradually begun to penetrate many parts of our lives, and in larger European cities is common that we are able to borrow a bike, car, or scooter for a tiny amount just with our smartphone. In this way, metropolitan residents accelerate their relocation and are exposed to exhaust-polluted atmosphere. However, with the rapid emergence of these brand-new services, there are many question marks regarding security, lack of infrastructure or insufficient legislation.

How does Czech society deal with this new phenomenon? Have the conditions for shared mobility improved in the Czech Republic? Can we expect expansion of shared bikes, cars and scooters also to other cities? Is the state in favor with this new trend? And how do we handle shared mobility compared to other European states?
