Artificial intelligence is changing the way children learn, educators work, and schools assess knowledge. The Czech education system is therefore faced with the question of how to meaningfully integrate these tools without weakening basic skills or independent thinking. Finding a balance between technological change and preserving the essence of education will be one of the key tasks of education policy in the coming years.

Key takeaways:

  • Artificial intelligence is already part of school reality. It is not a distant future, but a tool that is already being used by students and teachers today. In the Czech Republic, 46% of teachers have used AI in their work.
  • The Czech education system is responding to this change, but so far rather unsystematically. There is a lack of clearer rules, methodological support and greater certainty on how to incorporate AI into teaching and assessment.
  • The key question is not whether artificial intelligence belongs in schools, but how to use it in a way that supports the quality of education and does not weaken basic skills.
