Did you know that having an internship on your CV increases your chances of getting hired for a new job by 90%? Neither did I — probably because I just made that up. What is true, though, is that an internship allows you to see the world from a different perspective — from behind the scenes. Among other things, you get to learn new know-how directly from professionals and gain first-hand experience. You develop your abilities, skills and knowledge, all while doing something you enjoy. On top of that, you meet great people, many of whom may become your new friends — especially when you are part of a Slovak-friendly team. This is the impression of internships that I have gained over the past three months, and I think it will be hard for any future internship to beat the standard set by IPPS.
