The last four years have been turbulent for relations between the US and the EU. The change in administration in the US brings a change in US-EU relations, but it does not bring the relations back to what they were in the pre-Trump period. The impact that the Trump administration has had on the attitude and perception of the US by the EU cannot be undone or forgotten. Still, the Biden administration allows for the relationship to start building again.

The 2020 conference on Multiple Challenges for Transatlantic Partnerships focussed on discussing three key areas of the Transatlantic partnership: economy, policy, and security. There is plenty of overlap between these areas, and there always have been and always will be challenges facing them.
