Dr. Dan Schueftan is Head of the International Graduate Program in National Security at the University of Haifa, was Director of the Center for National Security Studies at the University (2008-2018), Visiting Professor (2012-2014) in the Department of Government at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and lectures at the Israel Defense Forces National Defense School. He has served as an advisor to leading Israeli institutions including the Prime Minister’s Office, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Defense, the IDF, and the National Security Council. He regularly lectures at leading universities, research centers and think tanks around the world. He has written for major international media outlets and published extensively on modern Middle Eastern history, with an emphasis on Arab-Israeli relations, intra-Arab politics, and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.
