The Institute for Politics and Society is holding a meeting with the European Commissioner Věra Jourová. This event will be held in Czech and it is by invitation only.

In the first part of the event the European Commissioner Věra Jourová will present her portfolio to the business leaders – justice, consumer policy and gender equality, which are very important for businesses, investments and trade not only in the individual member states, but throughout the whole European Union.

The European Commission is often blamed for creating too many unnecessary regulations which hamper and needlessly complicate business. However it might be perceived, the main objective of the European Commission is to help the businesses and the economy. Mrs. Věra Jourová, as the European Commissioner, can answer your questions about how the European Commission functions and its impact on development of economy and business.

The meeting will also address the current issues such as Brexit and subsequent organization of the EU’s relations with Great Britain, an area in which the European Commission plays a key role.
