The Institute for Politics and Society invites you to a business breakfast New Chapter of American History, which will be held on November 18th in Prague.

The 2024 US Presidential Election not only reflected deep national sentiments and division, but also forecasted shifts in policy. Now that former President Donald Trump has been declared the winner, his intention to revive his previous policies is a stark contrast to the current administration’s foreign policy. These results will profoundly affect both domestic and foreign policy, particularly shaping America’s governance and its strategic alliances, including NATO, its approaches toward Europe and Ukraine, and its policies affecting the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

What does the election of Trump mean for the world and especially for Europe? Considering the complex dynamics of the Ukraine crisis and the US role, how could the new administration’s approach impact peace and stability in the region? What steps should Europe take to protect itself should Trump follow through on threats to withhold aid and/or withdraw entirely from organizations such as NATO? What are the potential effects of the election results on US policy towards the Israel-Palestinian conflict, and how could this influence broader Middle Eastern geopolitics?
