The Brazilian elections will take place on October 4th, 2026, with a potential second-round runoff scheduled for October 25th. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who will be 81 years old on election day, has announced his candidacy for a fourth term. His main challenger will be Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
