Every year, we organize dozens of different events across the Czech Republic, through which we regularly open the most interesting and pressing social issues. We combine leading policies with experts from around the world, representatives of the most successful companies and professional public. We give to discussions a new dimension and bring innovative solutions. So, we hope to see you soon, check out our events that we're preparing.

The Institute for Politics and Society and the EUNIC Prague (European Cultural Institutes in Czech Republic) hold a debate entitled A Man Who Defeated Facebook!

What if one student didn´t speak up? What if an internet giant couldn’t be defeated in court? What if there were no digital technologies?

The event  “What if there were no digital technologies?”, is approaching the topic through a thought-provoking game. Let’s discuss it with Max Schrems, an Austrian lawyer who didn’t give up the fight against the biggest internet giants or the European Commission!

Keynote speaker:

Max Schrems, Lawyer, author and privacy activist against Facebook (Austria)

Speakers:

Holger Volland, Vice President of the Frankfurt Book Fair (Germany)

Ondřej Krátký, Co-Founder, Liftago (Czech Republic)

The debate will be moderated by Jan Klesla, Deputy Head of the Economic Section, Lidové noviny (Czech Republic).

We will discuss these questions on our Facebook from May 3rd.

The event will take place on 16 May 2017  at 18:00 in European House (Jungmannova 24, Praha 1). The event will be held in Czech and English with translation services. The registration for the debate is not necessary.
