The Institute for Politics and Society in cooperation with the Prague Institute of Planning and Development will hold another debate on urbanism, this time called “When People Change the City.”
The face of Prague is changing with its residents. Citizens and civic initiatives are not afraid to take matters into their own hands. Transformations can take many forms, including an open-air gallery, the emergence of artistic installations, the revival of abandoned buildings, or perhaps organising neighbourhood festivals. One thing these projects have in common – they make the city a better place to live.
What stands behind the successful implementation? How to we create suitable conditions for the development of similar projects? And how do we develop cooperation between politicians, officials and active citizens?
To discuss these issues we will have:
Michaela Hečková, Piána na ulici
Lukáš Žďárský, Radlická kulturní sportovna
Štěpán Kubišta, Přístav 18600
The debate will be held on 12 April from 18:00 to 20:00 at Vnitroblocku, Tusarova 791/31, 170 00 Praha 7-Holešovice. It will be moderated by Kristýna Drápalová from the Prague Institute of Planning and Development.
The debate will be held in Czech.
