The Institute for Politics and Society is holding a debate called "Will Teaching Profession Still Exist in Ten Years?" The debate will be held in Czech.
Progress is faster and faster. It is often faster than we think. Did you know that Google has been around for less than twenty years, and that Facebook has only been around for ten years? Few people, a decade ago, could imagine how the world would change. And today we again cannot imagine a world without them.
Can you radically change the teaching profession? Will technology intervene and learning take place through an edurobot ?? We do not know! But in Silicon Valley, in addition to autonomous cars, this is also emerging. Might this completely change the requirements for teacher’s work? Is it possible that we will no longer focus on understanding objects and interpreting art, but care about the emotional and personal development of children? We do not know! But there are people who are thinking about it.
The panel will include:
Hana Košťálová, Program Director, Helping Schools Succeed
Jiří Zlatuška, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University
Jiří Holoubek, President, Association of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Republic
Jiří Hokeš, Director, Scioškola Prague 11
The debate will be held on December 8, 2016 17:00 CoWorking Prague (Karlovo náměstí 7, Prague).
The debate was moderated by Dasha Divišová, project manager Depositum Bonum Foundation and member of the working group at the Institute of Education Policy and Society.
