My internship at the Institute for Politics and Society was a great experience for me, and I would like to thank everyone. The team and working environment were very pleasant and thanks to this, my internship took place without any problems.

Very beneficial for me was the possibility to write policy papers, thanks to which I could practice the theory learned at the university and develop my knowledge so far. The first task was to analyze the program priorities for the 2018 municipal elections and then to discuss the topic in policy papers. It was a time-consuming work that was interesting for me and also brought interesting results. I also appreciate the comments of my colleagues, thanks to which I was able to write the paper in a better way. I certainly have to say that this task has helped me develop skills that I will use not only for my further education. Because in Public Policy similar analyzes are a very important part.

The second task within my internship was to analyze the current housing situation in Prague. Again, it was a benefit, and in this case, I practised the analysis of one particular problem, which I also often use at school. Other tasks were, for example, helping to compare France and Greece from the economic point of view, searching for information and other small tasks.

I also attended two events organized by the Institute – 10 years since the financial crisis and Russian assertiveness at the borders. The threat to democratic systems of Central European states?. At these events, I helped with the preparation and in the case of the first one, I also wrote the record. Events were interesting for me and were a nice bonus of this internship.

In conclusion, I would like to say that I have enjoyed my assigned tasks and I certainly see a more realistic possible future job description. I tried to practice things I knew from school and I also practised writing, which is an integral part of my studies. I like that I met many interesting people, the diversity of work and its contribution and the opportunity to publish my papers.
