Before the internship, I had a problem to decide which internship would be the best for me. Finally, I chose an internship at the Institute for Politics and Society. Before I got to the internship, I had certain expectations how the internship should look like. Work at this institute has met all my expectations and ideas.
Thanks to this internship, I had the opportunity to be part of a great team I worked with. I have improved in communication and in organizational skills during this experience. I had the opportunity to see what I’m studying also in practice, not only in the theoretical level.. I was involved in the preparation of various events, which was sometimes very difficult but also entertaining. I think it is a big advantage that we can be part of the event on which we are working during its planning. Personally, for the short time I spent here, I attended events such as business breakfast with the topic: “Uber vs. Taxi – what should be the rules for taxi services?” or “Blockchain Republic? How can the Czech Republic benefit from breakthrough technology in the private and public spheres?” These events are attended by many important people from different areas, so it is nice to hear an opinion from specialists. Of course, we do not just organize a business breakfast. I also had the opportunity to take part in the evening debates on current and important topics, such as “Transfer of Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem”, and “New-old” government: The future of the Grand Coalition in Germany”, where a pleasant atmosphere prevailed and it was very educative for me.
The internship at the Institute is flexible and you can set up your schedule by yourself so you can also attend school or do another activities. During the internship I gained a lot of experience and I had the opportunity to look into the center of the event. It showed me how it really works in the institutions. Last but not least, I would like to thank the whole team, which is very friendly and relaxed and led me during my internship.
