I came across the internship at the Institute for Politics and Society while studying at university. My goal was to find an internship in which I will be able to apply my theoretical knowledge acquired at school, use it in a practical part of my life and gain new experience. These expectations of my internship at the Institute more than met.
I completed the internship in the first half of 2021. Unfortunately, it was a period of the coronavirus crisis, when it was not possible to physically meet in the office. I am more than grateful to the people at the Institute for allowing me to complete the entire internship fully remotely on home office. I was able to schedule the work according to my time possibilities, and each member of the team was very accommodating to me with any problem.
During the internship, I was given the opportunity to work in several areas of the Institute. I worked on researches and processing of documents related to them, within the project team I participated in the organizational preparation of online debates and with my activities I was able to contribute to the development of materials for the Digital Czechia project. Furthermore, I was also allowed to do my own publishing activities under the auspices of the Institute on topics that interest me and are related to the field of international studies, which I study at university. Last but not least, I have improved my language skills thanks to many translations.
