The internship at the Institute turned out to be even more interesting than I thought. The most significant benefit is the opportunity to participate in international conferences not only as a spectator but also as an organizer. This gives me a chance to see the inner workings of such large projects, which is a very valuable experience. The day-to-day work at the Institute is also interesting because of the variety of tasks, which are different from each other and therefore not monotonous. Another big plus is the possibility of planning my working hours by myself and sometimes working from home, which was very helpful for me living outside of Prague. The institute also held informal meetings for staff and interns and overall the atmosphere was very friendly, so the internship was quite fun.
The Institute for Politics is headed not only by professionals but also by a great group of people. Together we are the most active Czech political think-tank that cultivates the political environment and offers solutions to current social problems.
